- 200g Emmental cheese, grated
- 1 cup dry white wine
- 1 clove garlic, halved
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon kirsch (cherry brandy)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- French bread, cubed, for dipping
Instructions
- Rub the inside of a fondue pot with the garlic halves.
- Pour the white wine and lemon juice into the pot and heat over medium heat.
- Gradually add the grated cheeses, stirring constantly until melted and smooth.
- Combine cornstarch with kirsch and stir into the cheese mixture.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Keep the mixture warm and serve with bread cubes for dipping.
