Delicious jalapeno poppers stuffed with sausage.

- 12 jalapeno peppers
- 1 cup cream cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 pound ground sausage
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Slice jalapeno peppers in half and remove seeds.
- In a skillet, cook ground sausage until browned.
- Mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper in a bowl.
- Add cooked sausage to the cheese mixture and stir well.
- Stuff each jalapeno half with the sausage and cheese mixture.
- Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top of the filled jalapenos.
- Place stuffed jalapenos on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Wear gloves when handling jalapenos.
- Adjust spice level by leaving some seeds in the peppers.
- These can be made ahead and frozen before baking.
