  • 4 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions until al dente.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  4. Add flour, salt, pepper, and paprika; stir for 1 minute.
  5. Gradually whisk in milk and sour cream, cooking until thickened.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in 3 cups of cheese until melted.
  7. Combine the cheese sauce with the cooked macaroni.
  8. Transfer to a greased baking dish and top with remaining cheese and breadcrumbs.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
