- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 4 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the flour, salt, pepper, and paprika; stir for 1-2 minutes.
- Slowly whisk in the milk and cook until the mixture thickens.
- Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar cheese until melted.
- Combine the cheese sauce with the cooked macaroni.
- Pour into a baking dish and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.
Notes
- Use sharp cheddar for more flavor.
- Can add breadcrumbs on top for a crunchy texture.
