Ingredients

- 1 lb elbow macaroni
- 4 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cream cheese
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Whisk in flour and cook for 2-3 minutes to make a roux.
- Slowly add milk, whisking continuously until smooth.
- Add cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until combined.
- Mix in shredded cheese until melted.
- Combine cheese sauce with macaroni in a large bowl.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly.

- Top with breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
