  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons meringue powder
  • 6 tablespoons water
  • Food coloring (green, gold, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add egg, vanilla, and almond extract to the butter mixture.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients.
  6. Chill the dough for 1 hour.
  7. Roll out the dough and cut into desired shapes.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  9. Let cookies cool completely.
  10. In a bowl, mix powdered sugar, meringue powder, and water to make royal icing.
  11. Add food coloring and decorate cookies as desired.
