This berry trifle dessert is a delightful layered treat made with fresh berries, creamy custard, and fluffy whipped cream. Perfect for summer gatherings or special occasions!

- 2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup vanilla pudding (prepared)
- 1 cup angel food cake or pound cake, cubed
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- In a large trifle dish or individual serving cups, layer half of the cubed cake at the bottom.
- Add half of the vanilla pudding on top of the cake layer.
- Layer half of the mixed berries over the pudding.
- Top with half of the whipped cream, spreading it evenly.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining cake, pudding, berries, and whipped cream.
- Garnish with additional berries and mint leaves, if desired.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to meld.
Notes
- Feel free to use any combination of berries you prefer.
- For a lighter version, use low-fat pudding and light whipped topping.
- Can be prepared a few hours in advance and stored in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
