Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds chicken wings
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Your favorite wing sauce (optional for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Rinse the chicken wings and pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- In a large bowl, combine the baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
- Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the spice mixture.
- Drizzle the olive oil over the wings and toss again to ensure they are well coated.
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. This allows air to circulate around the wings for even cooking.
- Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack, making sure they are not touching each other.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before tossing in your favorite wing sauce, if desired.
- Serve hot and enjoy your perfectly crispy chicken wings!
Notes
- For extra crispy wings, make sure to dry the wings thoroughly before seasoning.
- Using baking powder helps to achieve a crispy texture, but be careful not to use too much.
- Feel free to experiment with different spices and sauces to customize your wings.
