A light and refreshing dessert that layers lemon custard, whipped cream, and fresh berries for a delightful treat.
Ingredients

- 1 cup lemon curd
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
- 1 package (8 oz) ladyfinger cookies or sponge cake
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- Zest of 1 lemon
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Whip until soft peaks form.
- In a separate bowl, combine lemon curd with lemon juice and zest. Gently fold in half of the whipped cream until well combined.
- In a trifle dish or individual serving glasses, layer half of the ladyfingers at the bottom.
- Drizzle with a bit of lemon juice to soak the ladyfingers.
- Add a layer of the lemon curd mixture over the ladyfingers.
- Add a layer of mixed berries on top of the lemon curd.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ladyfingers, lemon curd mixture, and berries.
- Top with the remaining whipped cream and garnish with additional berries and lemon zest.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
Notes
- For a lighter version, you can use Greek yogurt instead of heavy cream.
- Feel free to mix and match berries according to your preference.
- This trifle can be made a day in advance; just add the whipped cream right before serving.
