Description

A hearty slow cooker roast beef dish with rich gravy.


Ingredients

  • 3 pounds beef roast
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 carrots, chopped
  • 4 potatoes, chopped

Instructions

  1. Season the beef roast with salt and pepper.
  2. Place the chopped onions and garlic in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  3. Add the beef roast on top of the onions.
  4. Pour the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce over the roast.
  5. Add the chopped carrots and potatoes around the roast.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender.
  7. Remove the roast and vegetables, and let the roast rest before slicing.
  8. Serve with the gravy from the slow cooker.

  • Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • Use any root vegetables as desired.
