Description
This air fryer steak recipe yields a perfectly cooked, juicy steak with a delicious crust, all in a fraction of the time it takes to grill or pan-sear.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ribeye steaks (about 1 inch thick)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
- Pat the steaks dry with a paper towel. Rub them with olive oil and season generously with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Place the seasoned steaks in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overlapping.
- Air fry the steaks for 10-12 minutes for medium-rare, flipping halfway through for even cooking. Adjust the time for your desired doneness.
- Once cooked to your liking, remove the steaks from the air fryer and let them rest for 5 minutes.
- Slice and garnish with fresh herbs if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
- For best results, use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature: 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare, 140°F (60°C) for medium, and 160°F (71°C) for well done.
- Letting the steaks rest after cooking allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring a juicy steak.
