Description

This air fryer steak recipe yields a perfectly cooked, juicy steak with a delicious crust, all in a fraction of the time it takes to grill or pan-sear.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ribeye steaks (about 1 inch thick)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
  2. Pat the steaks dry with a paper towel. Rub them with olive oil and season generously with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the seasoned steaks in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overlapping.
  4. Air fry the steaks for 10-12 minutes for medium-rare, flipping halfway through for even cooking. Adjust the time for your desired doneness.
  5. Once cooked to your liking, remove the steaks from the air fryer and let them rest for 5 minutes.
  6. Slice and garnish with fresh herbs if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For best results, use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature: 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare, 140°F (60°C) for medium, and 160°F (71°C) for well done.
  • Letting the steaks rest after cooking allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring a juicy steak.
