- 1 large sponge cake
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 cups mixed berries
- for garnish to taste mint leaves
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- Cut the sponge cake into cubes.
- In a trifle dish or individual glasses, layer half of the sponge cake cubes at the bottom.
- Add a layer of mixed berries over the cake cubes.
- Spread half of the whipped cream over the berries.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining sponge cake, berries, and whipped cream.
- Garnish with mint leaves.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
- You can use store-bought sponge cake or make your own.
- Feel free to mix and match with different berries based on availability.
